WHAT DREW YOU TO KATONAH YOGA?

The real magnetism of the practice was how immediately and dramatically it impacted my emotional well-being. I knew instantly that this was a practice that could profoundly change the quality of my life in a powerfully positive way.

HOW HAS KATONAH CHANGED YOUR PRACTICE & TEACHING?

Katonah Yoga has served as a catalyst to greatly increase my awareness not just in my practice, nor in my articulation of the material, but in my life. I have more courage to go where I don’t like to go and I am not only willing, but curious now to explore my blind spots. I have tremendous respect for boundaries and structure, as intelligently implementing them makes me feel incredibly safe. I have more of a love for and fascination with the world, other humans, creatures and myself.

HOW HAVE YOU SEEN KATONAH CHANGE STUDENTS?

Katonah Yoga has unequivocally “saved the lives” of countless students, myself included. I use the term loosely, of course, in that has saved its’ practitioners from a quality of life in which they really weren’t meant to live. Actualizing one’s potential is the greatest gift available and I am a witness to people’s activated consciousness while earnestly participating on that journey.

Suffering serves us, because pain engenders change. Knowing that you don’t want to suffer is the first step. Knowing there is a way out of suffering is the second. This practice is one sure fire way out.
