In great nature, time is implied through some change in conditions. The snowfall of winter, sound quiets, we are drawn inward and time seems to slow down. The rising and setting of the sun, marking the division of our modern day enables us to leverage its potential. The first sprouts of spring, ushering in a new season of growth and development, quickening the natural pace with forward momentum.

Time is both the elemental river of life and a necessary ingredient for it's crossing. And it is through our relationship with time that we master our ability to be challenged, tried, tested, bested and continue to meet life head on. Join us for a series of sessions where we will explore notions of time and how we can use this intangible mechanism to our advantage… to expand the moment, break habits and better understand ourselves.

WEEK 1 - PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE (Wednesday April 6th)
In this session we will grapple with the question, "what creates personal change?” We will consider change through time, how it occurs and how time gives us the opportunity to create, master techniques and redeem ourselves. We will introduce the 30 day challenge, which will be our guidepost throughout the series, enabling us to explore how we can manipulate our "present" to savor the countless opportunities for revelation offered to us... only when we are prepared to receive them. In closing we will end the session with a pranayama practice where the practical meets the poetic.

WEEK 2 - BEING IN THE MOMENT (Wednesday April 13th)
In this session we will focus on what it means to "be in the moment." How it takes a specific and deliberate act of "doing" in order to achieve a state of "being." While we are often told to “be centered," most of us would benefit more from knowing how to regularly adjust to our circumstances, offering us a better dialogue with which to manage time. We will use the magic square as a template to orient ourselves in time, to place the body (our material) in the moment and explore the practical applications of the wraps for rapture as a tool to organize time through the breath, the mind and the imagination.

WEEK 3 - THE PASSAGE OF TIME (Wednesday April 20th)
In this session we will look at ourselves in terms of how we "face" time, how time inevitably marks us through the holograph, the fractal, of our individual faces. Using Chinese face reading theory we will explore how moles, scars and wrinkles become our markers on the map of decades that lends itself to insights about our past experiences, our emotional challenges, who we are in the present and what opportunities may be just on the horizon of our lives.

WEEK 4 - BREAKING HABITS (Wednesday April 27th)
Great nature’s habits are archetypal, set up for efficiency, whereas the repetition of our unconscious personal habits are full of pathology. In this final session we will explore what it takes to break a habit and how breaking habits frees us from our first nature. We will revisit our 30 day challenge, share with one another the personal insights gleaned from the practices we chose and discuss how we may have suffered or prospered or both.
