Breathing is an autonomic process, one that functions without your conscious effort. When made conscious, the breath acts as a tether to the moment you’re currently in; it’s a true mediation between the past and the future and an amalgam of the corporeal and the immaterial.
In this workshop we’ll discuss the autonomic nervous system and consider the respiratory system through the lens of TCM. We’ll learn several breath techniques and put them into practice so that you’re empowered to meet the moment you’re in, with all of its unpredictability and malleability and potential.
