WHAT DREW YOU TO KATONAH YOGA?

It was the first practice that told me to bend my knees. That completely redefined my worldview. I had been so rigid!

HOW HAS KATONAH YOGA CHANGED YOUR PRACTICE & TEACHING?

My practice is much more conscious and truly a conversation. Instead of telling my body what to do and feeling anger at my pain it has become a dialogue, something that I’m really interested in. As a teacher I’m less interested in fixing people and more excited about offering them tools to enjoy the highs and weather the lows knowing both are part of a healthy life. 

HOW HAVE YOU SEEN KATONAH YOGA CHANGE STUDENTS?

Because the practice is so different it engenders a beautiful curiosity and dialogue I don’t generally see in the yoga community. There is less talk about the scapula and more talk about orientation and practical application. People become more down to earth!

Life is not supposed to be perfect. It’s good to experience all elements of life. Participate!
