USING PHYSICAL PRACTICE FOR IMPLICIT EXPERIENCE
with Cassandra Simons
Friday, March 5th (2pm-4pm EST)
Price: $30
Katonah Yoga is an incredibly hopeful practice, because it allows us to use the material of the body, in the present moment, to manipulate our rich internal landscape and bring about change. Whether organizing the housing for internal organs, developing a practice to stimulate the glands or training the mind and breath, Katonah Yoga gives us tools to mediate all that life throws our way.
If life’s circumstances leave you feeling unstable, develop a substantiating or ground of being practice.
If your mind is spinning out, tether the imagination to the breath, and calm the central nervous system.
If you’re rigid in thought or frame of mind, cultivate a practice for fluency and pliancy.
If you're agitated, ground the frenetic energy by making good contact.
We’ll utilize Katonah Yoga theory and integrate it into a physical practice to give you the tools you need to adapt to life’s ever changing circumstances. The best part is, you don’t need to have your whole life figured out to reap the benefits. In fact, we’ll just work from the outside in.
What to bring: 2-4 blocks, 2 blankets, 1 strap, something from your life, you're working on... on or off your mat.
