MEDITATION SERIES - INSIGHT + INQUIRY

A meditated mind is one that has been opened through concentrated focus, non-judgmental observation and curiosity. When the thoughts are incessant, the inner-critic is loud and the feelings are running the show, a well-questioned mind can make all the difference in the world.

Many of us were taught what to think, not necessarily how to think - an inquiry practice provides this. Join us to explore the difference between insight and inquiry in order to actively work with the mind to bring the ego towards the inner wisdom. In each session participants will have a chance to use their own life stories, stressful thoughts and behaviors as gateways to greater clarity & freedom. Each session will involve somatic and contemplative practices, the 4 questions of Byron Katie’s The Work and yogic teachings for greater clarity.

SESSION 1 (Wednesday May 4th)
How and when to use insight vs. inquiry and the benefits of both - physically, mentally & emotionally.

SESSION 2 (Wednesday May 11th)
Understanding how to question the mind and run stressful thoughts and beliefs through facts & truth.

SESSION 3 + 4 (Wednesday May 18th + 25th)
Inquiry Lab - Students will be encouraged to share, as Ally guides participants through an active process of inquiry.
